Senior youth sessions are run every week in partnership with Bradford Youth Service on Mondays, 7-9pm. During the weekly sessions young people can engage with activities such as sports, music, dance, gaming, IT, fitness, discussions and debates and issue based workshops delivered by qualified youth workers.
During holidays and weekend young people are encouraged to get involved with planning extra activities and educational visits for them and their peers.
For young people age 14+ we offer the opportunity to volunteer within the many youth sessions and enrol for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards from Bronze through to Gold as well as many other accreditation programmes.
Summer transition camps are run every year to support young people moving into secondary school. With a focus on being ready, resilient and respectful, both in school and the wider community we encourage young people to take responisiblity, set goals, develop strategies and identify adults and peers who can support them in having a successful start to year 7.
As well as open access sessions we offer opportunities to engage in one to one support from youth workers, take part in volunteering and become part of the Centre's youth voice.
"As a former member of The Springfield Centre myself, I know the input I had from youth workers has shaped who I am as a youth worker and why I feel passionate about delivering a youth provision in the area."
Helena Rhodes, Children and Young People's Development Worker
