Join the story

Together, we’ll write a single evolving story—but here’s the twist: young people will decide what happens next.

They’ll steer the direction, propose changes, and keep the narrative alive taking contributions from our group of anonymous authors.

Celebrating Bradford's year as the City of Culture our first story will be a truly Bradford one.  Written by people from across the District with young people acting as editors.

Three ways you can get involved

01

Send us your ideas!

Each week our young people will call out to the community for a new contribution, this could be a character, a scene or an event. Send us your ideas!

You can provide as much or as little detail as you want. You could be funny, scary or serious. Please send your ideas to  Authors@springfieldcentre.co.uk

02

Follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Keep an eye out for our podcast coming soon!

03

Become a young editor

Our editors must be 12yrs - 17ys and have a love of stories. The group will meet on a Thursday at the Springfield Centre, Idle, BD10 8PY at 3.45pm.

If you know a creative mind who would love to be a young editor please ask them to get in touch.

Our editors will not only be helping to create the story, they will be leading the creation of a weekly podcast too.

Please remember - all contributions will be anonymous. Not all contributions will be used and they may be altered or twisted to fit our story. We ask that contributions are fictitious, and do not represent people or their homes. All contributions will be moderated by our Lead Youth Worker and will be expected to meet our community guidelines.

Join us, and let’s write something unforgettable together!
